Iosevka font

Some time ago I stumbled upon this font. At first glance it looked cool, but the customisation part pushed me off a bit. It's just too customisable.

But recently I guess I got a bit bored with using Fira Code. It's been my go-to coding font since its release. So I researched a bit and all I found that appealed to me was Iosevka and JetBrains Mono.

JetBrains Mono is nice. Feels cleaner than Fira Code. But I didn't like the corp vibes it gave me. Iosevka on the other hand, is fully open-source and extremely customisable. So I went for it.

I decided to do a custom build. It gives a feeling of control and uniqueness. Everything was fine apart from the fact that on Linux I couldn't select the Extended version of the font. It had something to do with the fact that the Extended version is not a separate font, but rather a different width for the font. And this doesn't work well everywhere. Neither of my IDEs could pick up the Extended version. The standard version was working fine though. But it's too narrow and hard to read.

Anyway, the fix appeared to be extremely simple. I just had to set the default width to 600 in the build config. And now I'm a happy user of this amazing font.
