The AI tools that are being overused right now actually show how much people like to be lazy. They prefer to delegate a 5-minute effort to AI rather than doing it themselves. And they absolutely don't care about the quality of the output. Like, meh, whatever, they know it's AI on the other side. They probably will use some AI to consume the thing I did, so why bother? As a result, the world gets filled with a lot of broken noise. A response in work chat? AI! A presentation? AI! A support channel with clients? AI! A job interview? AI! It wouldn't have been an issue if the AI approach actually worked. But it doesn't. Things start to break, people need to work more, because managers fired 80% of the team. But the expectations increased, because it was promised to have a 10x increase in productivity. This feels like watching a very grim dystopian satire film. Like Brazil. Things are fucked up. I don't want to deal with people who don't want to take ownership and responsibility for their lives.
