Real world identity and online presence

Recently, Reddit has imposed identity verification for UK users. Based on IP. So it's not like, by default, you have to go through the whole citizenship verification. But if you have a UK IP, then you actually have to. And this is terrible. I would say unacceptable, but in reality people learnt to accept all kinds of shit. And this time it’s not an exception. I’m sure that the majority of UK people just went along with this shit. The UK is one autocratic motherfucker. They really want to control every aspect of people’s lives. And their practices actually affect everyone, not just UK citizens.

A sad reality. Not sure what’s next. Me, I just try to avoid such services. Well, banks and stuff, yeah, you just have to. And it’s hard to argue when your money is at stake. But Reddit? I don’t know; Instagram, Twitter? Nah, fuck it. The moment such a service wants me to present my ID, I’m out.
