Workflows are more important than tools

In project management at some point, it stops matter which tools you use, and it starts to matter how you use them. Slack offers multiple ways of doing many things communication wise. But if you misuse it, it's going to make everyone's life harder and work slower. Linear offers a shitton of everything to manage your team. But again, if you think that the app will magically patch up your communications, you are wrong.

The best communication is one that is clear, straightforward, without any fragmentation. When you have a conversation, you probably like to have a clear understanding of what it is about. You probably wouldn't want to have to address references every couple of minutes. Or make pauses and wait for absolutely necessary input from another person. But frequently, that's how things actually go.

So, don't rely on tools as much. Build proper communications and proper management and align your tools to it.
