Everyone's got used to broken communication when it comes to the job market. Companies don't give a shit about their image in the eyes of the applicants. Hungry seekers will put up with anything, because they need these jobs. So companies can forget about common courtesy. They can ghost take their time and actually do whatever they want. It's the norm. If you mention this to anybody, most likely the only reaction you are going to get would be surprise. Didn't you know this? Just get used to it. The faster, the better.
Well, all right. Let's play it this way. And there's even a bit of logic here. We can imagine that there are so many applicants that HRs are just overwhelmed by the number of applications and simply can forget to respond or not have time for everyone.
But what I don't get are the cases when a company reaches out and then starts ghosting. Like if it wasn't enough to have the ghosting thing as it is now. Now they turned this thing into active ghosting. Let's reach out to them and then we just won't return their response. These are some next level assholes.
